18 JAN 2008: "We Care" - Awareness Walk on the Need for First-aid Training. On the morning of 18^th January, 2008, at 07:00 a rally was organized by ALERT. The rally was intended to spread the awareness, on the need for first-aid and emergency care training. About two thousand to three thousand people participated in this walk making it a grand success. 02 OCT 2006: ALERT was officially inaugurated on 2^nd Oct 2006. The Inaugural function of ALERT was held at Lifeline Multispeciality Hospital, Chennai, on the auspicious day of Vijayadasami and Gandhi Jayanthi, 2^nd Oct 2006. The lamp was lit by, Mrs. Saroja Sadasivam- founder of Vishwashanthi Old Age home. The chief guest, Mr. S.K.Prabakar, I.A.S - Commissioner of Technical Education, Government of Tamilnadu.
